Description
As a set, 43033 and 43183 represent HST units that were built at the beginning, and end, of Class 43 production, entering traffic on 29 October, 1976 and 19 December, 1981 respectively. Re-engineered by Brush Traction in March 2007 and September 2006 for FGW, the units were cascaded to ScotRail to replace Class 170s with 43033 and 43183 powering the inaugural 12:55 Aberdeen to Edinburgh press launch of Inter7City on 10 October, 2018.
